To get the most mileage, one could not have the radio, the A/C, or the headlights on. Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car. GM is making strides increasing their cars fuel economy.
