A map of all of 2024’s Drive Electric Week events Here’s a sample of some of the events happening over the course of the week: Phoenix, AZ has a ride and drive on Sep28 from 8am-12pm, with a wide variety of vehicles available for test drives and raffle drawing for anyone who participates in a test drive.

Cruise has resumed limited testing in Phoenix. Waymo, formerly Google’s self-driving car division, is testing more than 200 self-driving cars in the Phoenix suburbs and in San Francisco, as well as nearly 50 in Los Angeles and in Austin, Texas. California regulators later suspended the company’s state license.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix. They are either glorified golf cart city cars like this one or they are only for the very wealthy like the Tesla. The Chevy Volt is going to count on an overnight charge from a standard wall outlet. Electric cars a still a joke.
