Ill never purchase one again, no matter what the mpgs. If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Haul or tow -- buy a Silverado. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. The EV1s failure was a failure of Management. thats right.
