But it is a price that must be paid, and GM should be commended for remaining committed to the Volt. Lutz is a man given to hyperbole — called global warming "a crock of shit" — but in this case, hes right. Not really sure where all the money is going, but it seems like the Volt is already over-priced and under performing.
