At Auto Shanghai 2017, China-based Hybrid Kinetic Group (HK), with its partner Pininfarina, introduced two more microturbine range-extended electric vehicles: the five-seat K550 and 7-seat K750 SUVs. These join the luxury sedan H600, introduced earlier this year at the Geneva show ( earlier post ), making a family of three.

At the Geneva Auto Show, the China-based Hybrid Kinetic group unveiled the H600 microturbine range-extended electric vehicle sedan concept, produced together with its vehicle design and engineering partner, Pininfarina. Pininfarina and Cambiano project. The unit is composed of less than 40 parts.

All five electric vehicles were designed by Pininfarina and Torino Design. The total monthly cost for driving VinFast EVs is approximately equal to gasoline costs in each market. Two models VF e35 and VF e36 in the D and E segments (introduced at the 2021 LA Auto Show, earlier post ) now renamed as VF 8 and VF 9.

The selling points are plenty of passenger and cargo capacity with a small footprint, plus good fuel economy; the downside is a goofy appearance that even Pininfarina wasn't able to fix. For 2010, the C4 Picasso was available with diesel or gasoline power. It was available as a five-seater or (as the Grand Picasso) a seven-seater.
