The customer will only pay a monthly fee about $240 (US Dollars) which includes a full maintenance service agreement; carbon offset payments and in some countries even all electricity used, and insurance. In the end, gasoline won out because it was the cheapest and delivered the most energy per unit, but it took 20 years to sort out.
