Juniper GTL to invest $100M to retrofit plant to new small-scale GTL facility in Louisiana

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Juniper GTL LLC President Vianney Valès announced the company will invest $100 million to renovate a dormant steam methane reformer in the Westlake, Louisiana area and convert it to a natural gas-to-liquids (GTL) facility, producing waxes, drilling fluids, diesel and naphtha.

The 2015 model vehicles were purchased by local Houston company NewTex Plumbing and San Antonio-based Pioneer Energy Services. GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado trucks for each fleet were upgraded to run on either natural gas or gasoline using the new DuraDrive DI natural gas system, supplied by Utah-based AGA Systems.
