Mr. Thesen said that a factory in Turkey was being refurbished to be able to produce 100,000 electric vehicles a year. The vision is fuelled by the fear of climate change and the need to find green alternatives to dirty coal, unpopular nuclear power and unreliable gas imports from Russia.
