In a bid to capitalise on the government’s push for ethanol as one of the alternatives to fossil fuels, India’s largest fuel retailer Indian Oil Corp opened the country’s first ethanol pump in Delhi. India is the world’s third-largest consumer of crude oil, and imports more than 85% of its crude oil requirements.
