The Malibu turbo can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and achieves a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h). Increased efficiency in all of the new Ecotec engines is achieved in part through lower engine friction, which was reduced by up to 16% using new technologies such as a variable-displacement oil pump.
