Study finds unprecedented urbanization and urban expansion in East-Southeast Asia from 2000 to 2010

This study reveals the opposite, and this could change how officials plan and adapt to urbanization in the future. By explicitly measuring the urban density (persons per kilometer) change for each agglomeration, the researchers showed that, contrary to previous findings, urban growth has outpaced land expansion.
