Nissan led with California ZEV credit transfers out during the last report period. Between 1 October 2013 and 30 September 2014, Nissan transferred out 663.6 NEV = Neighborhood Electric Vehicle. Large volume manufacturers for the 2013 model year included the big six: Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Nissan and Toyota.

When a car is operating on the electric motor only, throttle and speed dependent synthesised sound projects an engine sound in front of the vehicle. However, the electric drive portion of the vehicles, including the motor, electronics and A123 System lithium ion battery pack is identical. Thats such a pretty metallic blue; I would love to see these postal vehicles around my neighborhood. Oh, and the whole electric thing is good too. Looks sharp.

Although charging infrastructure is beginning to find its way into cities, it may be awhile until they are available in residential neighborhoods en masse.
