How does this sound: 100+ MPG in a regular vehicle? A PHEV with only a 20-mile all-electric range is 62% lower (see printed page 95 in the 2004 study ). Encased in metal and painted black, the battery looked much smaller than a Roadster pack and is said to be able to power the fortwo up to 100 miles. I wish the thing was for sale as-is. and 49 mpg. However, because of the duty cycle used by the Postal Service, which generally amounts to only about 18-20 miles per day on a fixed route, these vehicles are being built without the range extender seen on the concept. My local post office is about 5 miles from my house, so could possible fit the range requirements.
