Businesses joining the EV20 alliance included global fleet owner TNT, auto manufacturers PSA Peugeot Citroën and Smith Electric Vehicles, battery manufacturer Johnson Controls, Better Place and Deutsche Bank. The EV20 initiative will focus on sharing best practice in policy and in finance, and EV fleet procurement.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance has begun ZEV initiatives in Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama in Japan, as well as in Israel, Denmark, Portugal, Monaco, the UK, France, Switzerland, Ireland, China and Hong Kong. It will also look into educating the public on EV technology though a nationwide EV sharing programme or through corporate fleets.
