Following a successful testing exercise conducted in December 2008, the Principality of Monaco, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors Europe B.V. a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation— signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding fleet testing of Mitsubishi Motors’ i MiEV electric vehicle with the Principality of Monaco. Mitsubishi Motors sees opportunities for collaborating with Monaco as a partner and as a test market for its i MiEV.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and the government of Thailand agreed to start joint study for fleet testing of electric vehicles (EV). In addition, MMC is already collaborating on initiatives to promote the popularization of EVs centered on agreements with various governments including the governments of the Principality of Monaco, Iceland, Denmark, and Singapore, among others.
