ABB has inaugurated the first OppCharge fast-charging station for electric buses in Benelux, in the commuter belt town of Bertrange, Luxembourg. The combination of Volvo Electric Hybrids and ABB’s automatic e-bus chargers in the Luxembourg public transport system is the second joint project of ABB and Volvo Buses.

UK-based Elektromotive has appointed The PluginCompany to install networks of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Belgium and Luxembourg. As part of its e-mobility roadmap, MAN Truck & Bus is sending a fleet of demo e-buses to customers in five European countries this year. The fleet comprises 15 test vehicles, which will be deployed as part of everyday operations. The energy for this comes from the modular batteries with 640 kWh of installed capacity.
