has fully embraced EVs and, after years of teasing with snazzy concepts, the real hardware is for sale–and is selling well. First was to introduce the second generation Chevrolet Volt range-extended electric car (which gets tossed in with plug-in hybrids even though its system really takes a different approach).

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. and 49 mpg. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties. It is probably a real rocket compared to the Daimler version that will eventually show up.

The trouble is you then have to stop right away, which brings about some pretty strong regenerative braking action, something that Chrysler needs to work on before making the Circuit available for sale. Chevys volt is exactly what a family with kids would need, as is the Tesla model S, and yea, theyre both pricey.
