Finally there may be new energy storage that requires less lithium. At current transportation battery prices, that is well beyond the cost of spinning reserve. This may be the lowest cost energy storage solution just because we are going to make the batteries anyway. Cheers — Al Louard 11. — AH2 14.

And, you have to recognize that they pull a hell of a lot of power through the local grid: there will come a time when we will see utility transformers popping from all the current being drawn (imagine just a few dozen EVs fast-charging simultaneously, on 480V at 500A: wow). No single vehicle does it all even in todays petrol world.
