BMW MINI E Powered by AC Propulsion?

Per BMW’s press release the MINI E will be motivated by a 150kW electric drive system with a range of 150 miles per charge and a top speed of 95 mph. The battery pack is comprised of 5,088 lithium-ion cells for a cummulative 35kWhrs of energy storage. Top speed is electronically limited to 152 km/h (95 mph).
