The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities will receive funding to purchase battery electric buses, associated charging infrastructure and a back-up generator to maintain bus service in a disaster situation. Juneau, the Capital City of Alaska, has a clean, renewable source of energy, local hydropower.
