Sandia study finds underground geologic storage of hydrogen could boost transportation, energy security

The main findings of the economic analysis, published in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy , show that geologic limitations rather than city demand cause a larger disparity between costs from one city to the next. Houston has the best conditions of the four cities because the Gulf Coast offers large, deep salt formations.
