With immediate effect, responsibility for global battery business is to be held by the newly created company “PowerCo”. The Volkswagen Group is bundling its global battery activities in the European company (SE) PowerCo. Looking ahead, further products such as major storage systems for the energy grid are planned.

Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) plans to debut three new electrified models—two BEVs and a PHEV—in the US market this year. Between now and 2025, Toyota and Lexus models, globally, will have an electrified option. —Gill Pratt, chief scientist of Toyota Motor Corporation and CEO of Toyota Research Institute.
