In markets adhering to the Euro 6d TEMP emissions standard, the engine also features Kia’s selective catalytic reduction (SCR) active emissions control technology to reduce NO x and diesel particulate matter. If the battery has sufficient charge, the combustion engine turns off automatically during in-gear deceleration and braking.
