Among the major findings of the study are: BEVs, PHEVs and FCEVs have the potential to significantly reduce CO 2 and local emissions. These car segments account for 50% of all cars and 75% of CO 2 emissions, hence replacing one ICE with one FCEV achieves a relatively high CO 2.
