The “wet” part of a DCT means it uses oil to improve lubrication and cooling. A “dry” DCT does not use oil, but is the more fuel efficient of the two types. We did a bit better on a 120-mile freeway run with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 28.1 A torquey turbo four.

To maximize performance and efficiency there are five driver selectable drive modes of Conserve, Normal, Excite, Slippery and Snow/Sand. On a 68-mile run, setting the adaptive cruise control at 65 mph and after fully charging the battery, we averaged 58 mpg. A capable and efficient engine. The Corsair–hiding in plain sight.

Running on 87 octane, the front wheels (all-wheel drive is not available) are driven through a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that has five driver selectable drive modes of Eco, Normal, Sport, Slippery and Snow/Sand. That number jumps to 105 MPGe, or miles per gallon equivalent, when combining electricity and gasoline.
