The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding enabling them to offer a scalable retrofit kit for hybridizing mining trucks in a wide range of mining applications. This energy is then fed back to power the wheel motors, allowing the diesel engine to be downsized.

Felix and I might differ on that -- Felix and I were talking the other day -- but we dont expect the battery and the battery maintenance to be part of the ownership cost of your car. We hope Ford will, and then move ahead! Its not in todays Prius and we wouldnt expect that in the future.
