New York City adding 70 electric vehicles to fleet; launches EV educational push

The NYPD already uses electric scooters and electric powered golf carts on boardwalks, in parks and some transit hubs. As part of its selection as the supplier of New York City’s Taxi of Tomorrow, Nissan is working with the City and taxi owners on a pilot program to study the use of zero-emission electric vehicles as taxis.

While people can purchase neighborhood electric vehicles today for about $10K, they only have a top speed of 35 miles an hour or so, essentially glorified golf-carts. I hope this project furthers his vision of emission-free electric vehicles for people. I really appreciate Bob's willingness to share his wealth of information.
