Used Priuses, especially the Generation 2 that were made from 2004 to 2009 are becoming a bargain to buy, especially for the MPG and features you get in return. The official fuel consumption is 5 l/100 km (47 mpg US) and that is bang on for us as well. l/100 km (51 mpg US) in the summer, and 5.3 l/100 km (44 mpg US) in winter.

The EPA rated the Santa Cruz’ fuel economy at 19 mpg city/27 highway/22 combined. We did a bit better on a 120-mile freeway run with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 28.1 Selecting the Sport mode for that extra oomph helped turn 0-60 mph in about 6.3 The base Santa Cruz engine is the non-turbo 2.5L

The EPA has rated the 2024 Maverick Hybrid fuel economy at 42 mpg city/33 highway and 37 combined.
