For me, it’s mesh radio systems, which first captivated me while I was zipping around downtown Las Vegas back in 2004. Precise frequencies vary by region, but they’re in the 863- to 928-megahertz range. Clearly, range was not going to be an issue, even with a forest of skyscrapers blocking the horizon.
