Volt like hybrids are the intermediate future between hydrogen or fast charging electric cars. To get the most mileage, one could not have the radio, the A/C, or the headlights on. Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car. So I think its a safe bet for GM.
