Nissan on Monday revealed a roadmap that will pivot the automaker back toward hybrids and plug-in hybrids for the U.S., as well as higher-volume, reduced-cost EVs, with aims to cut the cost of next-generation EVs by 30%. The Tucson, Santa Fe, Elantra and Sonata come as hybrid and/or plug-in hybrids, the Nexo is powered by electricity via a hydrogen fuel cell, and the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 are battery electric. The slowest charging is using a standard 120V household plug that delivers a full charge in about two and a half days. Hyundai gets electricity.
