EIA: planned capacity additions to US crude oil pipeline infrastructure should relieve Cushing bottleneck

With added flows into Cushing from the north and west, and limited pipeline capacity to move crude from Cushing to Gulf Coast refineries, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil has traded at a substantial discount to crudes such as Louisiana Light Sweet and Brent. US DOE Awards $300 Million in Clean Cities Grants to Support Alternative Fuels, Vehicles, and Infrastructure Development

The project will convert local landfill gas (LFG), a renewable fuel source, to compressed natural gas and develop five CNG fueling stations throughout the metro-Atlanta area. Louis, San Antonio/Austin, and Oklahoma City as well as a refueling corridor along I-10 in Louisiana (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles).
