General Motor eCrate conversion kits – by late 2021 GM plans to offer battery and motor kits for classic cars, allowing an easy EV conversion. GMC Sierra EV ute – it shares plenty with the Chevrolet Silverado underneath, so no surprise the GMC version is set to adopt electrification.

Why pay $40K for a GM volt… which will look nothing more than a Malibu anyway and only get 40 miles before the gasoline engine kicks in. Many of the first Prius hybrids that were released are still running strong on their NiMH batteries after 100,000+ miles. In most conversions cost is about the same because of needless weight. She is an avid runner and hiker, having grown up camping most summers in the Sierra Nevada. Lead batts are around 98% recycled.
