In a paper presented at the 2016 SAE World Congress, Tula Technology, developer of Dynamic Skip Fire (DSF) cylinder deactivation technology, reported significant fuel economy gains of up to 18% over a conventional GM 6.2-liter GM has been working closely with Tula Technology; in 2012, GM Ventures made an equity investment in Tula.
