Battery Electric London Taxi Ready for Trials

A prototype electric version of the Mercedes Vito Taxi designed and built in six months by a consortium of British technology companies—Zytek, Valence Technology, Penso and Mercedes-Benz UK ( earlier post )—is ready for trials. By lowering the centre of gravity, the low mounting point also improves vehicle stability and ride quality.
