The popular car scrappage scheme is set to be extended the BBC reports. Business Secretary Lord Mandelson is set to announce a move to extend the scheme in his Labour Party Conference speech. Concerns have been raised that car sales could fall dramatically and motor manufacturing jobs lost without continued support.
