In May 2019, the EQC 400 4MATIC as a purely electric vehicle, was integrated into the ongoing series production of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen. It is produced there on the same line as the C-Class Saloon and Estate as well as the GLC and GLC Coupé. The EQA production launch at the Mercedes-Benz Rastatt plant went smoothly.

Following the EQA 250 (combined electrical consumption: 15.7 kWh/100 km) it is the second fully electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ. After Europe, the international version of the EQB, produced in Kecskemét, Hungary, will be launched at the end of the year, followed by the US market launch in 2022.

With the Concept EQS, Mercedes-Maybach is providing a clear preview of the first fully electric series-production model for the luxury brand. After the EQA, the EQB is the second all-electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ. It will be the first purely electrically powered production vehicle from the Kecskemét plant in Hungary.
