USDOT awarding $55M to support purchase of Low-No buses; electric buses and infrastructure

Connecticut Department of Transportation. The Connecticut Department of Transportation will receive funding to purchase 40' Proterra E2 Max battery electric buses through a joint effort with CTtransit’s Hartford Division and Greater Bridgeport Transit. Fifty-one projects in 39 states will receive a share of the funding.

The MOU calls out medium and heavy-duty vehicles with a plan to adopt the California Advanced Clean Trucks Rules , requiring the following targets by 2035: 55% ZEV of Class 2b-3 trucks; 75% ZEV of Class 4-8 trucks; and 40% ZEV of truck tractors. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.
