Brands respond to Plug-in Car Grant changes with price reductions and new models

The UK Plug-in Car grant aims to stimulate the sales of electric cars by slicing a chunk of the price. Recently the value of the grant was reduced and the number of models eligible dramatically cut. Priced at £34,945, before the grant, the new model offers upto 282 miles of range (WLTP), the most of any sub £35,000 car.

5 great electric cars still eligible for the Plug-in Car Grant

Yesterday the UK Government announced immediate changes to the Plug-In car Grant, reducing the value to £2,500 and the number of models eligible. The value of the grant has been reduced by £500 to £2,500 and is only available on cars under £35,000. Additionally, MG has committed to topping up the grant to £3,000 until March 31, 2021.

PEUGEOT charges ahead with revised pricing and finance offers for PEUGEOT e-2008 and e-208

With revised pricing for all e-2008 models and enhanced deposit contributions for the e-208 range, Peugoet is latest manufacturer to respond to the recent overhaul of the UK Government’s Plug-in Car Grant. This move follows Citroen, Vauxhall and Kia who have adjusted their prices. The Peugeot e-2008 offers up 206 miles of range (WLTP).
