The UK Plug-in Car grant aims to stimulate the sales of electric cars by slicing a chunk of the price. Recently the value of the grant was reduced and the number of models eligible dramatically cut. Any car above £35,000 was no longer eligible for a £2,500 discount. It seems this is already working.

Yesterday the UK Government announced immediate changes to the Plug-In car Grant, reducing the value to £2,500 and the number of models eligible. The value of the grant has been reduced by £500 to £2,500 and is only available on cars under £35,000. SEAT MII Electric – £20,300. What’s changed?
