Toyota EPU (effectively an electric Hilux) Toyota EPU concept is an electric four-door ute Toyota has been glacially slow to the EV market but at the 2023 Tokyo motor show there were signs the message had finally sunk in. Toyota showed off a concept car called the EPU (or electric pick-up) alongside an electric version of the LandCruiser.

Think again… Audi A9 e-Tron – the A8 limousine is headed to the car grave and in its place is a new all-electric (and partially autonomous) grand tourer showcased as the Grandsphere concept. Think iX3, but smaller.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles.
