Chinese demand for EVs soared throughout 2018, as the car-type gained more visibility among consumers, due in part to their promotion by local governments for their environmental impact. The dip in the Chinese market had ramifications upon the rest of the global market in 2018. Passenger electric cars recorded 1.26 million sales.

Avatar E11 – a new brand with big dreams, Avatar has input from Huawei and CATL and is the product of Chinese car maker Changan. BYD – Chinese car maker (the name means Build Your Dreams) has huge plans for Australia, including a range of SUVs and a sports sedan. Chevrolet Silverado EV will have an EV range of up to 650km.
