Skoda to set up second life battery hubs to power its retailers

Skoda will use second-hand lithium-ion batteries from its PHEVs and BEV models to power its retailer network. The power hubs will provide energy to power the showrooms, workshop buildings and the charging infrastructure for customer cars. It comes with three different battery sizes which have a quick charging option.

Hyundai Motor is integrating green energy into Charge myHyundai. When charged with renewable energy, battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) such as IONIQ 5 produce up to 81% lower well-to-wheel lifecycle emissions compared to a normal ICE vehicle, according to a 2021 study from the International Council of Clean Transportation (ICCT).
