That car was the 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line, and I managed to find one in a Denver-area car graveyard recently. Ford launched the Escape Hybrid as a 2005 model (its Mercury Mariner and Mazda Tribute siblings showed up a bit later), so The General had some catching up to do in the green-car department.

French cars and extreme-high-mile machinery are on my list, of course, plus Sawzall roadsters / pickups , art cars and oddball special editions. The Suzuki Equator seems to be the most puzzling of them all , though, and now my decade-long search has unearthed one in a Denver-area car graveyard.

Buoyed by the US government’s CARS (“Cash for Clunkers”) program, US auto sales slowed their decline in the US in July, dropping on 12.1% Passenger car sales dropped 10.6% General Motors. GM total truck sales in July were down 18%, and car sales of 83,736 were off 21% compared with a year ago. Click to enlarge.
