The first was that there’s been some great building automation systems, energy management systems developed for large commercial and industrial customers—Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider. For example, I have a solar system at my house, but we don’t have a TOU program here in Florida. That was the first opportunity we saw.

Harry’s 200-unit condominium building in Minneapolis, Minn., has no EV chargers in its five-story indoor parking garage. They rejected my request to allow cyclists to hose off their bikes in the alley behind the building, which cost nothing. Nearly every one of these apartment buildings are without any on-site EV charging.
