Here in the UK we’re so downtrodden by extortionate petrol prices that the prospect of driving fuel efficient green cars carries obvious appeal. It could be argued then that America is still drunk on cheap gasoline. Does something need to be done to push petrol prices up? Will green cars ever be popular there?

EVs ain’t cheap Price is another EV purchase risk that is comparable to EV range. However, how long it takes to hit the break-even point depends on many factors , like the cost differential of a comparable ICE vehicle, depreciation, taxes, insurance costs, the cost of electricity/petrol in a region, whether charging takes place at home, etc.
