Supporters of the car say that’s shortsighted. and Chrysler. The hell with the GMs.

Furthermore, changing the battery pack on say a Toyota Prius often costs a fortune, at least in most European countries, so such cars better be VERY cheap, but they’re not. Current batteries in new Toyota hybridsare ~$3000 if they need to be replaced. None of the new electric cars are planning to use old-tech lead acid batteries.
