The benefit of a higher voltage connector has nothing to do with the speed at which the battery will charge it has to do with the conductor size. Reply Highly Ranked Maxwell Ash @ Apr 19th 2009 5:02PM Yes, but the function and technology of an electric plug doesnt change. The US standard is 120V@60hz the UK standard is 240V@50Hz.
