The benefit of a higher voltage connector has nothing to do with the speed at which the battery will charge it has to do with the conductor size. Install a Mr. Fusion on the back of the cars and everyone starts driving reeeeeal slow and careful. The US standard is 120V@60hz the UK standard is 240V@50Hz. excluding coal power in china.
