Caroline Reichert, an RWE spokeswoman, noted that the idea here is to ensure that "a car can be recharged in Italy in exactly the same way as in Denmark, Germany or France." The benefit of a higher voltage connector has nothing to do with the speed at which the battery will charge it has to do with the conductor size.
